Welcome to Parks & Recreation!

The Visalia Parks & Recreation Department is “Creating Community through People, Parks, and Programs”, and is vital to the quality of health and well being of our community. Our department oversees nearly 40 City parks; numerous waterways and trails; our urban forest; four major community centers; and a wide variety of programs, activities, and special events designed for all ages of the community. The City also enjoys an outstanding working relationship with many local agencies, and the Visalia Unified School District through a comprehensive joint-use agreement.
